いよいよ4月の仕事が始まりました
福島精機株式会社 代表取締役社長 福島知之です。
今週火曜日から4月の仕事が始まりました。
普段通勤している道にも、桜がきれいに咲いています。
3月も、あっという間の一か月でした。
お仕事を発注して下さったお客様、日頃からご協力いただいている外注先、仕入れ先、金融機関の皆様、そして従業員の皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。
4月上旬には、米国大統領による「アメリカ製ではないすべての自動車に24%の関税を課す」という大統領令が発動されました。
日本のGDPにはマイナスの影響が出るとの専門家の方々の見方が強いです。
今回のようなアメリカによる動きが、世界経済や日本経済、そして、弊社のような中小零細企業にはどのような影響を及ぼすのか、不安が募るばかりですが、当事者意識をしっかりと持って経過を見届けたいと思います。
弊社の現状の事業内容としましては、
①工作機械メーカー様向け部品の製作
②カップリング（軸継手）の製作
③特殊深穴切削装置の製作
④バルブメーカー様向け部品の製作
⑤一般的な部品加工のご依頼
となっております。③特殊深穴切削装置の製作は、かなり工程が長く、弊社にとっては、難易度も高い仕事です。
5月、６月納期でご注文を頂いており、この3月、4月はかなりこの仕事に時間をかけている状況です。
社内で力を合わせ、何とか無事完成を目指していきたいと思います。
3月の下旬には、尼崎市立双星高等学校 宇宙科学部の皆さん（先生、生徒合わせて十数名）が、弊社に工場見学にお越しになられました。
昨年11月のあまがさき産業フェアで面識を持たせて頂いたのがきっかけです。
2月に、和歌山県で開催された、人口衛星の技術を競う全国大会で見事優勝された高校生。
弊社の強みとしている、治具を用いた部品加工やノウハウを紹介させて頂いたところ、興味関心を持って聞いて下さいました。
弊社のお客様でもある、カップリングメーカー様にもゲストとしてご参加頂き、技術紹介して頂いたところ、高校生の皆さんは、ロケット開発のヒントを得ようと、熱心に聞き入っていました。
弊社会長のこれまでの苦労話や失敗談にも、熱心に耳を傾けて、学び、吸収しようとしている高校生の皆さんの姿勢に、こちらも大変感心致しました。
地域の高校生の方々との関わりを持たせて頂き、大変有意義な時間を過ごさせて頂きました。
尼崎市立双星高等学校 宇宙科学部の皆さんは、後日モンゴルで開催される国際大会に、日本代表として出場されるとの事で、陰ながら応援していきたいと思います。
4月、5月と慌ただしい日々が続きそうですが、従業員の皆さんの健康、安全を第一に、社員一丸となって頑張っていきたいと思います。

My name is Tomoyuki Fukushima, and I am Representative Director and President in FUKUSHIMASEIKI CO., LTD.
April work started this Tuesday.
It’s the season when cherry blossoms bloom beautifully on the road I usually commute to work.
March was a month that went by in flash.
I sincerely appreciate to customers who have ordered work, to our subcontractors, suppliers, and financial institutions who cooperate with us on a daily work and thank you to all the employees.
In early April, the US President issued an executive order “For all non-American made cars should be imposed a 24% tariff”.
There are many opinions from experts that Japan’s GDP will be negatively affected.
Although my anxiety is only increasing, I would like to see the progress through with a strong sense of ownership what impact will this move by the US have to global economy, the Japanese economy, and to small and medium-sized enterprises like ours.
Our current business activities are as follows,
1. Manufacturing parts for machine tool manufacturers
2. Manufacturing of couplings (shaft joints)
3. Manufacturing of deep hole cutting equipment
4. Production of parts for valve manufacturers
5. General parts processing requests
Work for No. 3 Manufacturing of deep hole cutting equipment is quite a long process.
It’s a difficult job for us.
We have received orders for delivery in May and June, therefore we have been spending a lot of time on this work in March and April.
We will work together as a team to complete the project surely.
By the way, in late March, the members of the Department of Space Science of Amagasaki Sousei high school (a total of a dozen students) came to visit our factory.
It all started when we met at Amagasaki industry fair in November last year.
The high school students wins a national competition in artificial satellite technology in February at Wakayama prefecture.
Introducing parts processing and know-how using jigs which is our strengths, they listened with interest.
And also coupling manufacturers who is our customer would be participating as guests.
The technology was introduced, the high school students listened intently to the speech to get ideas for rocket development.
Finally, to our chairman’s stories of hardships and failures, the high school students showed their eagerness to listen, learn, and absorb.
I was also very impressed from this sight.
We had a very meaningful time because we had the opportunity to interact with local high school students.
At a later international convention which will be held in Mongolia, he will be competing as a representative of Japan.
We would like to support them from behind the scenes.
It looks like April and May will be busy.
I want all of our employees to work together as one while the health and safety of our employees comes first.

偏心加工が必要な品物の旋盤加工の様子（材質鉄、φ280mm×310程度）。
４つ爪チャックを用いて、品物が動かないよう固定して、加工しました。
The picture shows that turning a product that requires eccentric machining (material: steel, size: φ280mm×310).
The item was fixed in place using the four scroll chuck to prevent it from moving and then processed.
特殊深穴切削装置のシャフト部品の旋盤加工、マシニング加工の様子（材質鉄、φ210mm×380程度）。
止まり穴で、かつ穴底を30Rにする仕様であるため、かなり苦戦しましたが、何とか対応できました。
マシニング加工も、上側、下側、側面、斜め、様々な方向からの加工が必要なため、かなり手間がかかりますが、何とか順調に進んでいます。

Because it is a blind hole and the hole bottom is designed to have radius of 30mm, it was quite a struggle, but we managed to cope.
Processing is required from various directions, such as above, below, sides, and diagonally.
It’s taking a lot of work, but it’s going well
