「多品種少量生産は面白い」
福島精機株式会社 専務 福島知之です。
私たちの会社の仕事の形態は、基本的には、多品種少量生産です。
工作機械メーカー様向けの構成部品の製作、製鉄所様向けの産業用カップリング（軸継手）の製作を中心にお仕事させて頂いております。
また、その他数社のお客様から、一品一様の金属加工製品のお仕事を頂いております。
先日、深孔加工用ドリルに使用する「ガイドブッシュ」と呼ばれる部品の注文を頂き、旋盤加工を行いました（写真）。
数年前に、初めてガイドブッシュの旋盤加工をした際、「手間のかかる難しい仕事だなぁ」という印象でした。
今回の加工において、過去に類似の加工を何度かしてきた経験と、旋盤設備のクセがだいぶわかってきたこともあり、満足のいく加工が出来ました。
内径の寸法や外径の寸法などが毎度違うので、まさに一品一様の仕事です。
経営的な観点からは、少品種大量生産の方が良いですが、やっぱり「多品種少量生産」は面白いです。
多品種少量のお客様のニーズにしっかりと対応できるよう、今後も努力してまいります。

My name is Tomoyuki Fukushima , and I am Managing director in FUKUSHIMASEIKI CO., LTD.
Business style of our company is basically manufacturing of a wide variety of products in small quantities.
We usually work for manufacturing of component parts for Machine Tools maker and for manufacturing of industrial coupling for Steelworks maker.
And also, from other several customers, we receive metal processing orders of one item uniform.
Just the other day, we received the order of “guide bush” like picture.
“Guide bush” is used for deep hole drilling equipment.
I handled lathe manufacturing of the guide bush in this time.
Some years ago, when I handled lathe manufacturing of guide bush at first time, I had an impression of troublesome and difficult work for manufacturing of guide bush.
However, just the other day, when I did it, I completed lathe manufacturing with satisfactory result thanks to past experience of guide bush manufacturing and thanks to understanding habits of the facility.
In the order of guide bush, the inner diameter and the outer diameter is different every time, therefore, this job is exactly manufacturing of a wide variety of products in small quantities.
It is hopeful to receive orders of small variety mass production from perspective of company executive, but for my individual opinion, manufacturing of a wide variety of products in small quantities is very enjoyable.
We would like to continue to make an effort to adapt for customer’s needs.
